4.0 out of 5

Easy and ample metered street parking – no valet (that is a good thing when there is absolutely no need); relatively central location; classy classic class act in the Gables for decades, referring to appearance, service, and of course some cool live jazz; outstanding and charming server with a good sense of humor making the meal very pleasant; very good prices compared to other steakhouses as here it includes one of the best Caesar salads in Miami plus baked potato and seasonal vegetables (or in our case, double veggies) rather than large sharing sides purchased a la carte in addition to the already expensive value of an entrée in such a steakhouse; beef that is aged, cut, and cooked to a very impressive perfection with simple seasonings and jus served on the side; simple classic appetizer and desert menus; full bar and proper wine list; the only drawbacks are that other newer or trendier steakhouses offer those aforementioned a la carte sides that can be quite fantastic and give you a bit more of a variety in meal choices; conversely! no real smoke and mirrors here, just a classic Coral Gables staple restaurant for excellent quality steaks and other indulgences… worth every penny, especially being a few pennies less than its competition, minor limitations a’side (pun intended).
